My name is Carlos Duran, and I am grateful you’ve taken a moment to visit. This space is dedicated to sharing my work as a journalist, researcher, and storyteller.
For the past several years, I have reported on education, government, and community issues in Imperial County, always with a commitment to accuracy, fairness, and giving voice to perspectives that matter. Alongside journalism, I create digital content and pursue historical and policy research, drawing on my academic background with a B.A. and M.A. in History from Arizona State University and my current studies in a Ph.D. program in Public Administration.
This website will serve as a place to bring those paths together — journalism, scholarship, and creative projects — in one home. My goal is to provide thoughtful reporting and reflections that both inform and connect.
